uFlow 220HL Series is larger bore ultrasonic Thermal Energy or BTU meter that can be used for measuring or metering of thermal energy consumption in heating or cooling application. The measurement principle is static and based on the measurement of transit time with a pair (DN50 to DN100) or two pairs (DN125 to DN200) or 4 pairs (DN250 and DN300 only) of ultrasonic transducers propagating at each other upstream and the other of the pair downstream. This technology of using more than a pair of ultrasonic transducers for large bore flow sensor will increase accuracy with the calculator algorithm averaging all the flows data. It is a non reflective design and the benefit is significant because over time, heating and cooling flowline become dirty and begin to affect typical reflective designs. This eliminates impending failures and allows the meter to continue to capture measurements regardless of liquid quality.
